STATE OF THE DEAD

And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man BECAME A LIVING SOUL. Genesis 2:7
(God formed Adam out of the earth, but was not alive until God breathed life into him)

And the SERPENT SAID unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: Genesis 3:4
(Satan deceived Eve into believing that she could become immortal. Since Eve died, we know this is not true)

So man lies down, and rises not: till the heavens be no more, they shall not awake, nor be raised out of their sleep. His sons come to honor, and he knows it not; Job 14:12, 21
(When someone dies they are unaware that anything is going on around them)

...thou takes away their breath, they die, and return to their dust.  Psalm 104:29
(The reverse of creation is death. When God withdraws His breath of life, man then returns to the dust from which he was originally formed)

His breath goes forth, he returns to his earth; in that very day his thoughts perish. Psalm 146:4
(Once a person dies, they are unable to think or do  anything else because the breath of life has returned to God)

For the living know that they shall die; BUT THE DEAD KNOW NOT ANYTHING,...there is no work, no device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, where thou goes.  Ecclesiastes 9:5, 6, 10





And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.  Daniel 12:2
(God's Word is abundantly clear. When someone dies they are not awakened until the resurrection at the 2nd coming)

Marvel not at this:  for the hour is when all that are in the graves shall hear His voice, and shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.             John 5:28-29
(Someday everyone that has ever lived will be raised back to life to receive their life's reward)

....of all which He  has given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day.               John 6:39
(Jesus tells us that the resurrection takes place at His 2nd coming)

..Our friend Lazarus sleeps; but I go that I may awake him out of sleep...Then said Jesus unto them plainly, Lazarus is dead.              John 11:11-14
(Jesus referred to death as a sleep)

..the patriarch David, is both dead and buried, and his sepulchre is with us unto this day. Acts 2:29, 34
(The Apostles knew that King David had not gone to heaven at his death, but was still in his tomb)

Now is Christ be preached that He rose from the dead, how say some among you that there is no resurrection of the dead?          
I Corinthians 15:12-19
(If when someone dies, they immediately go to heaven, there would be no need for them to be resurrected)

...and the DEAD in Christ SHALL RISE first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air; and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
I Thessalonians 4:15-17
(All who have died in Christ will once again be resurrected to have eternal life)

DO YOU WANT ETERNAL LIFE? ASK JESUS TO COME INTO YOUR HEART RIGHT NOW

...and the Lord of lords;  WHO ONLY HAS IMMORTALITY,.... I Timothy 6:15-16 (The bible is clear, ONLY GOD HAS IMMORTALITY. Not until Jesus comes again will He grant IMMORTALITY to the SAVED)
